(MBI) (NASDAQ: MBII), a leading global provider of bio-based pest management and plant health products, has been nominated as a finalist for the 2018 Agrow Awards in the categories of Best R&D Pipeline, Best New Biological Product (Biopesticide) and Best Industry Collaboration (for two separate collaborations).
MBI is a finalist for the “Best New Biopesticide” category via their Venerate(r) Bioinsecticide, for the “Best R&D Pipeline” which include MBI’s bioherbicides and a biofumigant, “Best Industry Collaboration” in two separate products – one with Evogene for insecticidal protein discovery and one with Groundwork BioAg for an all-biological, broad spectrum seed treatment.

Winners are judged by an independent panel of industry experts. To be eligible for the awards, products were required to be formulated in a way that is acceptable to users and distributors, while also providing the ability to forge a path in a market dominated by synthetic chemicals.
MBI received High Commendation for its R&D pipeline at the 2017 Agrow Awards. MBI’s products, REGALIA(r) Biofungicide and GRANDEVO(r) Bioinsecticide and MAJESTENE(r) Bionematicide were previous winners in the “Best New Biopesticide” category. Pam Marrone was awarded “Best Manager with Strategic Vision” in 2014.
